Two weeks after Sting, Eros Ramazotti, a famous Italian singer, performed in front of about 10,000 fans in Novi Sad on June 5.

Eros Ramazotti was born in a small town named Cinecittà near Rome on October 28, 1963.

He had two passions: music and football. He lived in a poor family, where father earned money as a house-painter.

As a boy, Eros got tired of school, so he left it having decided to devote himself to music.

„I am just a boy who has always wanted to sing. My culture is from the streets, not from school or university“, he made a statement to the press on one occasion. He started his career in music as a teenager when he moved to Milan. In 1984 he won the category of “New Voice” in the popular San Remo Festival for his song “Terra Promessa”.

He released Calma apparente, a new album, for which he got Platinum Award in Germany last November.

Belong to You, recorded as a duet song with Anastasia which is achieving great success at this moment in Europe, is also in this album.
