(…) “How Nikola got his brother” can be considered a humorous epic, which it actually is. However, no one ever said that in a humorous epic, and in a humoristic way, one cannot and must not discuss any topic, relevant to ordinary people. Everything that was described, the actions of protagonists, behaviour of main and supporting characters, all this supports the idea that this is a story about ordinary, contemporary people that sees the birth of a child as the happiest of all occasions. The narrator contributes to the seriousness and he is also the subject of the trouble that searches and finds a solution.
All in all, this is a charming text, very readable and easy to learn by heart, which will make it popular even with the youngest audience..
