Smoke on the water was sung by 20,000 people at the concert that Serbia will remember for a long time.

The band Deep Purple delighted the older audience, who took this concert as a time machine bringing them back into the times, as they said, long passed and – good. They were promoting their new album Bananas, but the older songs by which they are remembered, were not missing in the repertoire. Being present, the younger generation which knew all the songs by heart, or which was there out of curiosity, became the part of the Belgrade’s musical history.

Their first appearance in Belgrade was long time ago – in 1975. Although the Band has changed its members a few times in its existence, as well as singers, we watched them with the legendary singer Ian Gillan during this visit.
