Harlem Globetrotters, the most famous entertainers in the world, appeared in full Belgrade’s Pionir Hall and thrilled numerous audiences with their basketball skills.

About fifty years ago they visited Serbia for the first time when they cheered more than 30,000 people at the JNA stadium, whereas the Belgrade audience last had an opportunity to watch them a little more than twenty years ago, also in Pionir Hall. The spectacle is remembered not only because of the attractive moves, but also a huge number of visitors.

Harlem Globetrotters was founded by Abe Saperstein in 1926, and the first official match was played on January 7, 1927.

This is their 80th year since they have been organizing tours and entertaining basketball fans worldwide. According to the 2005 data, they have visited 117 countries and performed in front of an audience of 12,1 million during their career.

Besides extraordinary fun, the Serbian audience will have an opportunity to enjoy a quality game in the Belgrade’s Pionir basketball spectacle, because Harlems are famous for their playing to the maximum in the beginning of the match in order to gain convincing advantage, so that they could involve in fun later on.
