Savior is a 1998 American film. The war drama, directed by Predrag Antonijević and produced by Oliver Stone and Janet Yang, stars Dennis Quaid, Nataša Ninković, Sergej Trifunović, Stellan Skarsgård and Nebojša Glogovac.

The story begins in Paris in 1987, when Joshua Rose loses his wife and child in an Islamist bomb attack. To avenge his family, he walks into a nearby mosque and kills all the worshippers inside. Having committed mass murder and knowing he must flee, he joins the French Foreign Legion together with his best friend, Peter Dominic.

In 1993, under the name Guy, Joshua is fighting in Bosnia and Herzegovina on the Serbian side. He shows no mercy or pity to anyone, not even to children, because Peter was killed by a young girl who threw a grenade at him.

Together with Goran, a Serbian soldier he has met, and other soldiers, Guy goes to a meeting with Muslim soldiers to carry out a prisoner exchange. There they meet Vera, a young Serbian woman who became pregnant after being raped in a prison camp, and they decide to take her to her parents.

“Based on a true story, this is one of the bravest,

most realistic films about war since ‘Platoon’…”
