The American heavy metal legends Metallica played Belgrade for the first time on June 15, 2004, as part of their European tour, thrilling their many fans at a packed Partizan Stadium. The show promoted their latest album, "St. Anger".
The band performed in its full lineup, including drummer Lars Ulrich, who had briefly been hospitalized in early June. Last night, eight hundred thousand watts kept awake many Belgraders living near and around the stadium.
Metallica came to Belgrade after a concert in Munich, and the tour continues to Bremen, Zurich, Zaragoza, Amsterdam, Paris, Dublin...
